What you can expect from the event

This event is all about making new connections and strengthening existing ones without having lots of information to digest.

Alex Reid, ETP’s Business Development Manager for Zero Emission Mobility, will be your event host and on hand to welcome you. There will be colleagues from organisations that are at the centre of Scotland’s zero emission mobility support ecosystem, including Transport Scotland, Scottish Enterprise & the Power Network Demonstration Centre (PNDC).

The venue offers lots of space to spread out and chat. To mark the occasion, you’ll be able to enjoy drinks and a variety of freshly prepared canapés. Vegan and vegetarian options will be available.

About the Zero Emission Mobility Meetup

The Zero Emission Mobility Meetup is open to anyone who has an interest in and actively involved and/or responsible for funding, researching, designing, developing, selling, operating, and maintaining the technologies related to low or zero emission vehicles and the infrastructure that supports them.

Whether you work in academia, for a start-up/scale up, larger business or public sector body, you are welcome to attend.

There’s a lot of work to do for Scotland to successfully develop a domestic supply chain of businesses that make a valuable contribution to decarbonising our transport systems. Breaking down the knowledge and digital silos that continue to stifle collaboration is the primary objective of this group.

Like all Meetup groups, the ethos is about getting together in a relaxed environment to start and continue the conversations that lead to new ideas being hatched, collaborations formed, funding secured, and new products or services developed and commercialised within Scotland. At each Meetup event, the focus is on offering everyone time and space to chat over a drink and some nibbles. This means that presentations and speeches are kept to a minimum. While a theme for each Meetup may be promoted, that’s only as a means to stimulate conversations and collaborations. Meetups take place after work on a monthly basis at city centre locations around Scotland. This providing an opportunity for as many people as possible from across the country to participate.
