ETP Annual Conference 22 - 23 October 2015

ETP is hosting its 4th Annual Conference on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd October 2015 at the Technology & Innovation Centre (TIC) in the University of Strathclyde. This free two day event is not to be missed for anyone involved in the energy industry in Scotland. With attendees from academia, industry and the public sector, the conference brings together the leading lights in new energy technology.

Day 1 is for the ETP PhD Students, their supervisors and sponsoring companies as well as all members of ETP universities. It will be an informative and interactive day where keynote speakers will provide the context for a variety of presentations and interactive sessions; an opportunity to network with other energy students and take part in a poster competition. New for this year are the Energy Theme Sessions hosted by the ETP Theme Coordinators and ETP Business Development Managers. These new sessions will provide an up to date insight into the work taking place in each sector, not to mention an opportunity to put questions to these energy theme experts. Another highlight will be the Skills Workshop on Negotiation for Students lead by the ETP Project Manager Stephen-Mark Williams.

Day 2 will focus on the emerging priority area of Energy Systems & Low Carbon Heating and Cooling.  Supported by the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise and the Scottish Funding Council  it promises to be an excellent networking opportunity with keynote presentations and case studies. The afternoon is dedicated to one to one meetings with the ETP Theme Coordinators across nine energy sectors. This will give attendees the chance to meet with these leading energy experts to discuss how ETP and the member universities can support companies to maximise their R&D potential.
