ETP Bioenergy Working Group - 8th March 2016

ETP is pleased to announce the launch of a common theme group for Bioenergy

This group aims to bring together leading experts in Bioenergy from industry, academia and government to;

•    Provide a common platform to develop renewable energy technologies for producing Heat, Power and transport fuel using biomass.
•    To achieve the 2020 target of sharing 11% of Heat and 100 % Electricity consumption from renewable sources.
•    To achieve the 2020 target of sharing 10% of total energy consumption from renewable sources.
•    Create consortium for applying research grants from H2020, Innovate UK, EPSRC etc.

The format of the meeting is designed to provide a forum for all attendees, both industrial SMEs and academics, to discuss their specific research interests and technology goals.

The meeting will be broken up into three main strands. The morning session will give a brief introduction about the ETP which will then be followed by a session providing  SMEs  an opportunity to discuss their own companies in more detail and any potential research interests that they may wish to explore. Some case studies will be given to show exactly how the ETP interacts with SMEs and Academia and the success of the programme to date.

The afternoon will then provide scope for Academics to discuss their research interests in more detail and how this may link with industry. Finally, a session at the end will cover all funding mechanisms available for collaboration, ending with examples of successful applications and time set-aside for any relevant 1-1 networking.
