Two Strathclyde initiatives have been shortlisted for national knowledge transfer awards.
In the PraxisUnico Impact Awards, Strathclyde spin-out company Smarter Grid Solutions has been shortlisted in the Business Impact Achieved category, while the University's unique collaborative research training partnership with GlaxoSmithKline has been nominated for the Collaborative Impact award. Strathclyde is the only UK University to have had entries shortlisted in more than one category.
Smarter Grid Solutions, headquartered in Glasgow, is at the forefront of smart grid technology. The company creates and delivers technologies that enable power companies and utilities to increase their existing grid capacity, in order to connect more renewable energy and respond to the global rise in demand for electricity.
