A joint vacancy has arisen between the Energy Technology Partnership (ETP) (www.etp-Scotland.ac.uk) and Power Networks Demonstration Centre (PNDC) for a power systems Business Development Manager. The post will be based between the PNDC in Cumbernauld and the University of Strathclyde’s Technology and Innovation Centre (TIC) in Glasgow, and operate within the ETP’s Knowledge Exchange Network (KEN) of business development managers.
The role is an outward facing one, identifying and working with Scottish companies who could benefit from short term
technical or business assistance to advance their technology and innovative services of relevance to the grid sector. By drawing on the expertise available within the ETP universities and PNDC facilities, the postholder will be able to develop effective ways of providing targeted support to the companies and support the attraction of further collaborative funding in order to increase the capacity for the businesses to innovate, and thereby secure technological advancement and business growth.
The postholder will work 100% of their time on activity related to the Energy Technology Partnership: Knowledge Exchange Partnership Phase 2 Programme, under which this post will be part-funded by the 2014–2020 European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF).
