Making Hydrogen Count: A Hydrogen Innovation Programme (HIP) Event
Scotland is on the brink of a transformative opportunity and will play a critical role in implementing the upcoming revised UK Hydrogen Strategy. It’s emerging hydrogen sector has access to the right ingredients to become one of the global leaders for hydrogen products and services development, and export. Given its strong commitment to net zero, Scotland can draw upon a vibrant innovation community, a breadth of research expertise and facilities, and, of course, it’s diverse and expansive renewable energy generation resources, including a world-class off-shore wind capability. SPEERI will bring together the key actors in Scotland who are jointly-responsible for taking forward the Scottish Hydrogen Action Plan. The day will provide a platform to explore who, and what, is needed to enable a sustainable hydrogen economy - because no single body can deliver Scotland’s hydrogen ambitions alone. Making Hydrogen Count is not just another event. It is a day of interactive discussion and debate designed to tackle these challenges head-on and build a consensus on the most viable pathways to implement our ambitious and shared goals.
