This proposal is concerned with laboratory investigations of floating offshore structures that accommodate multiple wind turbines. Assessing dynamic motion of floating structures with multiple wind turbine towers is a complex and nonlinear problem as the response of wind turbines in operating conditions affects the stability of the floating body. In this project, response of floating structures with multiple wind turbines subjected to a combination of three-dimensional waves, current and wind loads will be measured in the laboratory. Rigid and flexible bodies will be considered, and the effect of neighbouring structures, in a farm distribution, will be studied.
