Supervisors - Dr. Marco Vezza, University of Glasgow and Dr. Matthew Stickland, University of Strathclyde

PhD Student - James Cairns, University of Glasgow

Status - Complete

This project will investigate, numerically and experimentally, the optimisation of a ship wind-assisted propulsion system, comprising wing sections with circulation control mounted on the deck of a ship. The optimisation will consider both the aerofoil aerodynamic performance associated with the circulation system and the configurational aspects of the onboard system.
